Third LTT in Croatia

The project activities lasted 5 days from Monday to Friday. Within the 5-day period, good examples were shared, workshops were conducted under the leadership of the Croatian partner, and national parks, which are great examples of environmental protection, were visited. The pupils used creative thinking strategies and brainstormed about solutions to environmental problems. The events planned for each day were as follows:

1st Day: Got to know each other games prepared by the host country. Presented schools, cities, and countries by the pupils. Evaluated the previous mobilities with the impressions and reached goals. (What did we do so far?)

2nd Day: Worked in international groups. Discussed the bad habits in their daily lives. Identified the similarities and differences in terms of sustainable actions in their regions. Prepared a short report and presented it to the other groups.

3rd Day: Attended a seminar on endangered species by an expert working at “Velebit National Park”. The pupils saw a good example of preserving the wild and natural life.

4th Day: The Pupils photographed natural beauties with their mobile phones during the national park visit. Each pupil took one of his/her photographs to the exhibition to be held at the school. A photo contest was held among the exhibited photos and the top 3 were determined.

5th Day: Filled in the satisfaction survey prepared by the host country. The certificate ceremony. The principal of the host school gave the signed certificates of attendance.

A city rich in natural beauty, Gospic offered a unique experience to all participants. In addition to the project activities, there were visits that provided gains for our project subject. Within the framework of these visits, “Plitvice National Park” was one of the destinations. These visits were conducted under the guidance of experts and raised environmental awareness among my participants.
