Sixth LTT in Germany

The final mobility of our project was held in Germany. The activities started on Monday and ended on Friday, with participants returning to their countries on Saturday.

In this mobility, the workshops aimed at empowering pupils to become active participants by creating their own products. The results also aimed to raise public awareness about the existence of an active and autonomous youth and the importance of environmental awareness and protection. Participants learned about reducing waste and resources by avoiding excessive consumption and instead creating everyday objects themselves, repairing them, or opting for more ecologically friendly alternatives.

The events planned for each day were as follows:

1st Day: Getting to know each other games prepared by the host country. Pupils presented their schools, cities, and countries. The evaluation of previous mobilities took place, discussing impressions and goals achieved.

2nd Day: Pupils made their own soaps with the assistance of Chemistry teachers. They also wrote instructions on how to make them and shared them with others to encourage similar practices. Additionally, they created brochures with tips on resource conservation, reducing consumption, and caring for the environment.

3rd Day: Pupils visited a biogas plant in Aichach to learn about renewable and sustainable energy. They also visited an ecological farm to learn about environmentally friendly food and conscious consumption. The school canteen organized a veggie day to encourage pupils to eat more consciously and environmentally friendly. Pupils had the opportunity to distribute their newly designed brochures.

4th Day: Repair and handicraft workshops were conducted. Pupils repaired objects with the assistance of people from Caritas, who operated a Repair Café. They engaged in activities such as sewing, knitting, and crocheting to create items like makeup removal pads, biodegradable dish sponges, reusable bags for fruits or bread, and handkerchief holders.

5th Day: Participants filled out the satisfaction survey prepared by the host country. A certificate ceremony was held, and the principal of the host school presented the signed certificates of attendance.

Throughout the mobility, pupils had the opportunity to develop skills in teamwork and cooperation, as well as learn to take on personal responsibilities. Their English communication skills also improved, both in terms of specialized vocabulary related to the environment and everyday language proficiency.
